Having done this once or twice, I’ll also share with you tiny tips and tricks of the trade that will help us get the photos you were dreaming of. To give them the comfort of knowing that we’re prepared, I like meeting at least once or twice. This can be in person over some coffee or a video chat depending on the circumstances.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for! It’s going to be an absolute thrill and a collaborative creative masterpiece! So whether its silencing distractions or warding off bystanders, I’m here to make sure its nothing but good vibes! Shooting times can vary by the scope of the project but I typically advise around an hour per subject.

The excitement of awaiting edited photos can be compared to kids on Christmas Eve! Since I typically have multiple shoots in queue to edit, I quote a 2-3 week turn around time but strive to get them to you as soon as superhumanly possible! I’ve found that this turn around is the perfect balance of having enough time to bring out the best colors/lighting of the photos and making my clients happy. If you’re as anxious as I am to see the photos, you’ll love knowing that I send sneak peeks within a day or two just so you can get a glimpse of what to expect and so that you can share with your loved ones! I know, I’m such a tease.

To be completely honest, the photos I really I could take is of people receiving their photos! You’ve been so patient and the day has finally come! You’ll be happy to know that I send the photos to you digitally and for multiple reasons - it’s quicker, more reliable to save, and easier to share! The preferred method of file sharing for me is a service called WeTransfer. This company takes all the fuss out of having user accounts and storage capacities for both of us! WeTransfer securely and privately stores the files on their servers for up to 7 days for you to download and access. But let’s be realistic, you won’t wait that long to save them! Have an alternate preference? Never fear! I’m able to send your photos to you via Dropbox and GoogleDrive as well!

So you love your photos so much that you can’t wait to show everyone. That puts the biggest smile on my face! After you get your photos, I’ll share a few light requests with you about posting. Let’s call it ‘sharing responsibly.’ In a nutshell, proper photo credit and tagging can go really far for the marketing of a working artist. It also gives us the satisfaction of knowing that you’re stoked with the results!
