I love strategy and culture enough that I need more outside of my day job and our group strtgst fulfills those needs. Founded by my celebrity parents Tina Yip and Darien LaBeach, we run monthly events catered to strategists but welcome to all in the ad industry. Our events are curated to inspire, invoke deeper thinking, and ease uncertainties. Here are a few of our past events linked to their recaps:

Griffin Farley’s Beautiful Minds

GFBM is a hybrid planning bootcamp and networking program hosted by BBH New York in memory of beloved Strategy Director Griffin Farley. Roughly 50 participants were selected, split up into teams, and given a brief to develop a full strategy for within 24 hours. The 2019 brief was a new mobile app called Daisy Wheel developed by the Get In Touch Foundation which is a handy breast self-examination tool. After a long night and countless cups of coffee, we gave our pitch to strategy heads and directors from respected agencies BBH, Vox Media, and FIG. We were given both valuable feedback and the experience of a lifetime!

Connection

I’ve found the best part about the strategist and planning community to be the people. The problem solvers, the game changers, the visionaries - these are the type of people I want to surround myself with. (I never thought I would be inspired by a Facebook group until I joined the Sweathead community)

To sum it up - I am always open to connecting.

Chances are that if you’re reading this, you very well know the wide range of capabilities required to be an impactful strategist. In the conversation regarding soft skills, I often refer to Lominger’s For Your Improvement as it is a resource I have studied for years. Below are a few of the competencies that I excel in and continue to exercise daily.
